The screen works well and relieves the tiring wind pressure onto the body. My 2012 Triumph Bonneville is now an easy long distance tourer.
One slight criticism is that the mounting kit has put the screen in front of the headlight and the bottom of the screen is illuminated by the headlight glare.
Hey Folks; I installed the Marlin flyscreen on my 1977 Moto Guzzi 850 T3. I had to make small adapter plates to move the screen up 20mm to clear the headlight. It looks fantastic, and works well at keeping the wind blast off my torso. The screen, brackets, and fasteners are of excellent quality. Thanks
The Marling screen is great. Well made, looks great and does the job. Very pleased with how quickly it arrived to me in New Zealand.
At 6’1” I debated over the Dart Marlin or the Classic S3 flyscreen for my Triumph 400X Scrambler. I have had a Classic screen on a previous bike (Triumph Thruxton) and it was excellent however the more upright riding position of the Scrambler required something taller but I didn’t want to spoil the looks of the bike with a large screen. Looking at pictures on the Dart website, and getting it confirmed which screen was which in the photos, I elected for the Marlin. It has been perfect from fitting and finish to protection on the bike. It takes the bulk of the wind pressure off my upper body without creating any extra noise in my crash helmet. I have ridden lots of faired bikes and bikes with taller screens and the turbulence and noise can be excessive. At my height on this bike the Marlin creates no noise at all but does provide a significant reduction in wind pressure when above 50-60mph.
Overall the service I received from Dart from my initial enquiries on the website (including questions about which screen was which) has been first class with immediate responses by email to any questions. The screen arrived within two days of ordering and the fitting took about 15-20mins max. The quality of the screen itself is as good as any motorcycle manufacturer factory product and the fitting kit is also high quality and very easy to fit. I would not hesitate in recommending Dart products and in particular the Marlin screen to any Triumph Scrambler owners. I have also recommended it on two 400 Scrambler Facebook groups already.
T_boned a car last week. Riding days are over. Wish I had gotten more use out of it.
